Do not Contact Option in Bulk Upload – Email, Text, and Call

Release Date: 10 December 2026

We have introduced a new enhancement under the Contact module. When you upload data in bulk, you will now see three additional columns in the CSV file: Email Unsubscribed, SMS Unsubscribed, and Call Unsubscribed. Using these options, you can set the communication preferences for opt-in or opt-out without going to each contact individually.

Use case: This enhancement allows agencies to apply bulk opt-outs during contact upload, eliminating the need to manually update each record after import. By setting email, SMS, or call opt-out preferences upfront, contacts are immediately excluded from campaigns, automations, dialers, and AI engagement—saving time, reducing errors, and ensuring compliance from the moment the data is added.

To view the Enhancement:

  • Navigate to Contacts.
  • Click on the three dots, and select Upload Data from the dropdown.

  • An Upload File panel appears.
  • Click on the download button to download the CSV/Excel template as per your preference.
  • A pop-up for uploading a file appears
  • Open the downloaded CSV\ Excel files.
  • As shown below, three columns, Email Unsubscribed, SMS  Unsubscribed, and Call Unsubscribed, have been added
  • Fill each field with True or False:
  • True→ The communication type is Opt-out (agents can’t contact the client with that medium).
  • False→ The communication type is Opt-in (agents can contact the client with that medium).

Note: When the file is uploaded, the Email Unsubscribed, SMS Unsubscribed, and Call Unsubscribed columns are automatically set to True.

Note: After uploading the file, the system automatically updates each contact’s communication preferences in Contact 360.
